We begin with collecting some information from each partner individually, using a short electronic interview form. This is a confidential way for each person to safely share their concerns prior to the first joint meeting. At that first meeting, the therapist and couple get to know each other, establish levels of comfort, and begin understanding what might be the issue to tackle first. The therapist and couple mutually establish goals for treatment and the path they will take, together, to achieve those goals.
